About Us
Welcome to York Swirling Soapery
Hello and welcome! My name is John and I live and work in the gorgeous and historic city of York. I am a new independent business determined to take my passion for soap making and share it with you.
I make handcrafted natural bars of soap that are made from a blend of quality oils with a strong focus on sustainability, cruelty free ingredients and eco-conscious packaging.
I have previously studied and worked in the areas of Animal Management here in York and as such I only test my products on humans and the occasional Grandmother!
I currently work as a Dental Nurse for an NHS Practice and particularly enjoy helping people to focus on improving their own health and wellbeing.
My hobbies include a keen interest in reading, mythology and folklore as well as travelling and learning about different cultures and ideas. I have tried to blend in my soaps my love for the City of York, with its majestic and grand buildings, museums and green spaces with a hint of the exotic cultures that surround us. I am, after all living in a city founded by the Romans who controlled an area from the very top of England, through the Mediterranean and beyond.
